Langkawi , 24 - 27 Jan 2011

Hubby having a meeting there, so, as always we must've tagged along! Since we're bringing the kids, we have to take flight instead of ferry. Ok, I couldn't really enjoyed this trip so much due to my sore eyes...

This is the kids's first fly, on the way to Langkawi

Fly back to KL

We managed to visit a few places such as Dataran Lang, Pantai Kok, Porto Malai, Ayer Hangat & Makam Mahsuri. The rest of the time I urged my hubby to bring me shopping at Idaman Suri...I bought nothing but towels for everyone. Spent so much money on chocolates....because it was soooooooooo.....cheap compared to outside Langkawi!

Dinner at Difiqa, Pantai Cenang. Ikan bakar dia mebelesss...

The night before, we went to Pantai Cenang jugak having dinner. But hubby insisted nk makan Nasi Arab kt Restoran Telaga Arabic...masa I lalu kt dpn Difiqa ni, nampak sungguh meriah ada jual bbq mcm2...I pun mmg teringin nk mkn kt situ. Tapi memandangkan ramai org kt situ (kebanyakannya mat saleh), meja kosong pun nampak x berapa nk ada hubby pun mcm x berapa nk la mkn kt situ. Bila mlm yg we all mkn kt situ, bbq xde pulak...frustrated a bit lah kan...

This is the car we've rented, wira aeroback...rasa2nya quite cheap jugak rental dia, RM150 for about 4 days

Photo taken at Langkawi Geopark (psst...my hubby mesti marah sbb I dh edit color gambar ni jadi mcm ni, dia ckp nampak buruk!)

o-oh, tiger back ride!

entrance to Kota Mahsuri

Makam Mahsuri

Porto Malai - brought the kids to our favourite spot, this is the place we always enjoy the sunset. Beautiful! But we are not doing it this time, because the kids are there, org tua kata x elok budak2 kt luar senja2 kan...tambah2 pulak kt tepi laut!

Air Hangat - dh letih jln bolehlah dtg rendam kaki kt sini....dipercayai boleh menyembuhkan pelbagai penyakit kulit(dgn izin Allah). cubalah!

@ Dataran Lang - see, mata I yg x dpt dibuka sepenuhnya, sensitip to cahaya...

The Loaf Langkawi - pun wajib cari jugak bila dtg sini...bukan x boleh cari kt KL tapi I lebih suka environment kt sini lebih tenang

@ Langkawi Airport - dh nk balik dh...

Alhamdulillah....we got the US visa!!!!

We're planning to visit USA by mid-May of this year. So that, the main thing we have to do is:

1. Fill up the US visa application form online(DS-160 application form). Once completed, we have to go to Standard Chartered Bank to pay US Visa fees & VFS fees....the total fees around RM480.00/person.

2. Go to www.ustraveldocs.com/my & make appointment online.

3. Once the appointment been made, go to the Embassy for an interview & fingerscanning.

4. If visa approved, our visa can be collected during the next working day @ the address chosen when we made an appointment...They also can courier to us if we choose to.

I refused to apply visa before, I'm so scared. Because I have read in the internet a few experiences of US visa interview. I have made up my mind & told my hubby "If I been denied US visa, would you pls bring me to UK??". It's just to sooth my head, to make my heart calm a bit.

On the interview day, we left from Unisel (hubby's parent's house) right after fajr prayer. It was still dark out there. You know, it's KL (traffic jam here & there)...we have to arrive at the Embassy 10 minutes before the interview. I mean 10 minutes before the axact time we have to be at the entrance...at the security post. I couldn't talk nor speak as my heartbeat keep pounding very fast. My cool hubby keep driving & he seems so relax, not like me. Luckily we managed to arrive there at 8.00am before the interview time at 8.20am. Oh, here are the listings of the document we have to bring during the interview:
1. Valid passport
2. DS-160 (CAEC) Confirmation letter
3. 2" X 2" color photo with white background
4. Supporting documents (e.g.I-20, DS2019, SEVIS receipt, letters, bank statement etc)
***and one more, pls do not forget to bring the slip copy of US Visa Fees Deposit Form

Before the security let us pass, they may asked handbags, wallets, cellphones, to be scanned. Cellphones & any electronic/bettery operated device have to be left at the security. After that, they let us pass through....and yet another security check at the entrance of the office...and then, we pressed the machine to get our queue number. Waiting until the number been called.

Everything went well & smooth. But still I feel panicked a bit, heard others been interviewed...some tough, some easy...Then our number been called at last...

Thank god, we got nice interviewer. He just asked us a few simple questions and tadaaaaa....our visa has been approved!! Not so tough as I thought it would be. Suddenly my stomach started growling...feeling hungry, before the interview I have no appetite to eat at all! "OK", my hubby said to me "Let's celebrate this, what do you want to eat?". I replied "I want to eat at Subway pls..."

Off we go, to The Gardens Mall having breakfast there....Now I can eat & smile widely. There's another story @ Subway...When my hubby wants to pay at the counter, the cashier asked him, "Bayar sekali ke?" hubby replied'"aah...bayar sekali". Maybe he thought we were just officemate out for breakfast. Whatever, that day was Friday...& still morning & yet we both are wearing office attire!

we both wearing the same color...blue is our lucky color on that day!

happy...happy...happy...

Roti Tempayan Kubang Kerian, Kelantan

I bila balik to my hometown in kelantan, I mesti pegi cari roti tempayan (benda wajib yg I cari sbb ayah I pun sgt suka roti tempayan ini) kt kubang kerian...senang je nk cari sbb ia located dekat hospital universiti sains malaysia, kubang kerian. Gerai dia menempek kt restoran McBee. So, bila dh order roti tempayan (ayam tandoori dia pun sedap tau!), my hubby & I akan duduk tunggu kt McBee lah. Sambil2 tu we did pekena McBee blackpepper steak & fun fries...pun sedap juga. Rasa dia mmg authentic lah sbb org yg buat tu mmg from Pakistan if I'm not mistaken...sbb muka dia ala2 hindustan gitu...ada 2 choices of kuah...dal or daging cincang...tapi biasanya I akan amik kedua2nya la..harga lain2...kuah daging cincang mahal sket dr dal...

Beginilah rupa dia gerai roti tempayan yg sedap tu...tapi gambar blur sbb I just guna my iPhone yg xde flash

jom pekena dulu kt McBee, mkn western food

Restoran Satay Hut, Tanjong Karang, Selangor

Kalau walkwalk ke Tanjong Karang bolehlah singgah find eat kt Restoran Satay Hut. Satay sgt sedap & mee bandung yg sungguh menyelerakan...nnti nk ajak my hubby pegi lagi....huh...meleleh...

***There's a lot of Restaurants here, no worries about where to eat. You choose either Healthier Choice, Vegetarian Choice & for muslim they have Halal Choice (pls refer to studio guide for details). But I chose to eat at Friar's (Far Far Away)...hmm...yummy & most important it's halal!

***For muslim - where to pray (penting ni...)?? Okay, they have a prayer room at the Guest Services...BUT only one person can enter that room to pray at one time...they only have one room for both male & female to pray...

We really enjoyed stage shows (coz I'm the outdoor type of person, hubby did asked me to try the roller coaster but I refused to...I really scared of that!). The best show was MONSTER ROCK - Pantages Hollywood Theatre (but no cameras & videos in here) & no photos to show here too...Other show was Mel's Dinettes, Daddy O's - Hollywood, Madagascar Booggie!, Donkey Live & Water World.
